Spacer Characteristics

• Provides required minimum gap for plate, pipe and flange projects as required by AWS codes D1.1 thru D1.6, and API 1101 pipe codes.
• Made from EPA approved Aquasol Water Soluble Composite Board, SoluShim is environmentally friendly and compatible with any metal.
• SoluShim is incompressible and will not deform under pressure or during welding.
• Can be manually shaped to form any angle.
• All SoluShim sticks are pre-sized and uniform in thickness, guaranteeing perfect and consistent seam spacing every time.

Spacer Installation

• Unlike metal spacers, SoluShim does not require tack welding to be held in place. Secure SoluShim in place with Aquasol Water Soluble Tape.

Spacer Removal

• Unlike metal spacers, SoluShim does not need to be mechanically ground or cut with a torch. SoluShim dissolves instantly when introduced to water, allowing for quick and easy removal.
• SoluShim leaves behind no harmful trace elements that will show up on X-Ray analysis.
